KATHMANDU, JUN 21 -
Chairman of Interim Election Council Khil Raj Regmi toured areas affected by floods in far-western region on Thursday.
During the course of his visit, he met victims of flood affected families and listened to their grievances and announced financial relief of Rs 35,000 each to the families affected by floods and landslides in Darchula district.
He also pledged Rs 500 million for renovating Darchula headquarters in the upcoming budget.
He met flood victims, representatives of political parties, officials of administration, security sectors and journalists in Darchula , Kanchanpur and Tikapur area in Kailali yesterday.
Likewise, he also carried out an aerial inspection of flood -ravaged areas in Kanchanpur and Kailali districts.
