'Rightful demands of anti-poll parties will be addressed'

Dahal.
BIRATNAGAR, JUN 17 - UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has claimed that the election to the Constituent Assembly (CA) would be held on the declared date, November 19, at any cost.

Talking to media persons at Biratnagar Airport on Monday, Dahal said that no one could disrupt the election as the CA poll was public aspiration.

Chairman Dahal said that consensus has been forged at today's meeting of the High-Level Political Committee (HLPC) to address the rightful demands of the dissenting parties including the CPN-Maoist.

The former Prime Minister, however, said that the demands of dissolution of HLPC and formation of a political government by replacing the incumbent cabinet led by sitting Chief Justice would not be acceptable.

Saying that the HLPC was trying its best to forge consensus with the agitating parties led by Upendra Yadav, Mohan Baidya and Ashok Rai, the former revolutionary leader said that revoking of the 11-point agreement and 25-point obstacle-removing ordinance would in no way be acceptable.

Responding to a query, the UCPN (Maoist) Chairman said that HLPC does not intend to hold CA election by excluding the CPN-Maoist and urged the CPN-Maoist to help promulgate the new constitution by participating in the election.
