Preparations on to take Yadav to Japan
KATHMANDU, JUN 16 - The government has been making preparations to take President Ram Baran Yadav to Japan for medial treatment after he was diagnosed with some ‘scars’ in his large intestine.
According to Foreign Ministry sources, it has written letters to the embassies of US and Japan for visa processing. “The ministries of health and foreign have been making preparations,” said President’s press advisor Rajendra Dahal. “Most probably the president will be taken to Japan .”
President Yadav, a long-time gastrointestinal patient, was diagnosed with the problems during his regular check-up on Saturday after which doctors suggested he be taken abroad for treatment .
Dr Sashi Sharma, gastroenterologist at the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital and who has been attending to Yadav, said that an ultra-sound test shown a negative result but a CT-Scan test showed ‘some problems’ in the large intestine.
