Prez Yadav urges parties to unite for CA polls
KATHMANDU, JUN 28 - President Ram Baran Yadav has said that all the political parties should participate in the election to the Constituent Assembly (CA) to strengthen the Federal Democratic Republic.
Talking to media persons at the VVIP lounge of Tribhuvan International Airport upon his arrival from Japan on Friday, President Yadav said that all parties should go for election by narrowing down their differences as only four-and-half months remain for the election slated for November 19. President Yadav had gone to Japan for medical checkup and treatment.
He said the second CA should be formed as per the aspirations of the people and that democracy and republic should be strengthened from the elected body.
The President expressed his belief that the future of the country would be ensured through the CA election .
Saying that there was no alternative to institutionalise democratic republic for political stability, development and prosperity, President Yadav called on everyone to unite and move ahead for the overall welfare of the country patching up differences.
Also on the occasion, President Yadav expressed sadness over loss of lives and properties by floods and landslides at different parts of Far-Western Region.
Extending condolences to those who died in the disaster, the President expressed his sympathy towards the bereaved families.
