Boy thrashed for 'not carrying goods'

A boy has been thrash ed after he refused to carry goods for a local shopkeeper at Kanda-8 in the district.
Okendra Singh allegedly beat Manoj Nepali, 14, on Sunday for the latter did not carry his goods as agreed. The injured is now undergoing treatment in New Delhi, India.
The victim's family claimed that Manoj sustained serious injuries on his head and back. It is learnt that Singh gave Rs 500 to Manoj to carry his goods from Daba Bazaar to his shop. Singh admitted his wrongdoing and said he would provide medical expenses for treatment.
Meanwhile, Dalit rights activists have demanded legal action against the accused.
