Bhattarai ready to quit party Vice Chair post if need be
KATHMANDU, JUN 29 - Unified CPN (Maoist) Vice Chairman Baburam Bhattarai has said that he is ready to quit the party vice chairman post if need be. Bhattarai opined that everybody should make sacrifice for strengthening the party.
Former Prime Minister Bhattarai’s statement comes at a time when controversy has surfaced in the party over the party portfolio after several leaders staked claimed to plum party position s.
Many party leaders have expressed their displeasure over the proposal floated by party Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal regarding party position and promotion at the ongoing Central Committee meeting.
‘Everybody should make efforts in consolidating the party by making sacrifices,” said Bhattarai,” I am ready to relinquish party vice chairman post if need be.”
The UCPN (M) CC meeting has been protracted following controversies over several party position s.
