YAN chair stresses for cooperation among NC, UML

BIRATNAGAR, DEC 11 -
Chairman of the Youth Association Nepal (YAN), Mahesh Basnet , has said that there should be cooperation between the CPN-UML and Nepali Congress to promulgate new constitution, communal harmony and for maintaining good governance.

At a news conference organised at the UML party office in Biratnagar on Wednesday, Basnet said that both the parties should firstly emphasize on new constitution writing on the basis of people's mandate.

Expressing the view that the Constituent Assembly election held recently was concluded in a fairest manner and the highest number of voters participated in it in the history of the country, he said the UCPN (Maoist) and the Madhes-based political parties were most responsible for not promulgating the new constitution from the first CA.

Basnet appraised the important role played by the President to save democracy and added that participation of all parties was necessary in constitutional appointments.

He also informed that the youth force would be dissolved by the central committee meeting of the YAN going to be held soon. RSS
