FIFA WC trophy arrives
KATHMANDU, DEC 21 - The FIFA World Cup trophy landed here in the Capital on Saturday, the first time since the Trophy Tour began in 2006.
The original World Cup trophy arrived at the Tribhuvan International Airport this afternoon and has been put into display at the Dashrath Stadium.
Huge crowd had gathered at the TIA to have a glace at the trophy this morning.
President Ram Baran Yadav is scheduled to grace the moment at the stadium. The original trophy is 36.5 centimetres long — 13cm in diameter and 6.175 kg in weight. The trophy will travel to India on Sunday.
Security has been tightened in and around the stadium.
