Sarat Singh Bhandari's party divided over PR selection

KATHMANDU, DEC 30 - Sarat Singh Bhandari -led National Madhes Socialist Party (NMSP) has been divided over the selection of lawmakers under the Proportional Representation (PR) category.

Party General Secretary Rameshwor Sah staged sit-in outside the party office in Balkumari today, accusing chairman Bhandari of moving ahead unilaterally.

Sah is preparing to bring a no confidence motion against Bhandari. Shah said that he went to the party office to inform about the no confidence motion against chairman Bhandari and instead pasted the notice at the office as it was closed.

Shah further said that he will also inform the Election Commission about the no confidence motion.

NMSP has selected the names of Nirjala Raut, Dharmendra Sah and Dinesh Sah as their PR lawmakers. With the selection of the names, dissatisfaction has surfaced inside the party rank and file.
