Rayamajhi rules out possibility of new constitution
ARGAKHACHI, DEC 12 -
UCPN (Maoist) leader Top Bahadur Rayamajhi has ruled out the possibility of promulgating new constitution if the Nepali Congress and the CPN-UML try to form new government with multi-party system by discriminating his party.
He underscored the need of common consensus for the same.
Rayamajhi said Nepal should be transformed into a developed country through economic revolution by institutionalising the outcomes gained by drafting powerful constitution.
Ruling out the possibility of drafting constitution this time as well, Rayamajhi said the NC and UML will be responsible if the UCPN (Maoist) comes to the streets again.
He also claimed that the power of those who have been plotting conspiracies to restore the constitution of 1990 will end.
"The government can not be formed by the NC and UML alone, all the political parties should be incorporated," Rayamajhi said addressing the victory rally organised in Argakhachi on Thursday.
"The constitution should have been drafted earlier if the NC and UML had not obstructed," he added.
Also on the occasion, he reiterated his parties stance not to participate in the CA till an independent probe panel was formed to look into the alleged poll rigging during the November 19 CA election.
