CPN-Maoist Gen Secy demands dissolution of CA
NEPALGUNJ, DEC 24 - General Secretary of CPN-Maoist, Ram Bahadur Thapa , has claimed that the political impasse facing Nepal will not be resolved unless the present Constituent Assembly ( CA ) is dissolved.
Talking to journalists at Nepalgunj on Tuesday, Thapa has claimed the votes cast by the people to the political parties and the CA election procedures were not democratic.
Thapa opined that the problem should be sought through an assembly of political parties. "Every election procedures aren't democratic", Thapa said, "There are other democratic procedures and methods. That's why there is need to change the method."
The CPN-Maoist leader also said that his party has been holding discussions with some parties regarding the political assembly. But he denied having held talks with Nepali Congress, CPN-UML and UCPN (Maoist).
