Gachhadar assures to support NC-led govt

KATHMANDU, DEC 06 -
Madhesi Janadhikar Forum-Loktarntrik (MJF-L) Chairman Bijay Kumar Gachhadar has assured party's support to the government to be formed under the Nepali Congress.
Gachhadar met NC President Sushil Koirala on Friday and made such assurance.
During the meeting, Gachhadar opined that the party will accept NC's leadership if the government is formed forging political consensus.
On the occasion, Gachhadar said it was not required to raise the issue of presidential appointment at the present context and suggested to move as per the provision in the interim constitution.
Stating that the NC was committed for democracy, Koirala said he was concerned over not dragging the country into another conflict.
Meanwhile, the duo also held discussion on government formation, Constituent Assembly, legislative-parliament meeting, constitution drafting, among other issues, Koirala's personal secretary Laxman Dhakal said.
Also during the meeting, Gachhadar congratulated Koirala for winning from two constituencies in the second CA elections.
