EC extends PR list submission deadline

The Election Commission on Tuesday extended the deadline to submit the list of Proportional Representative candidates of the Constituent Assembly election to December 18. The date was due to end today.
Joint Secretary at the EC Mahesh Sharma Poudel informed of the date deferral.
Nepali Congress, which became the largest party in the election, had demanded an extension of the deadline on Monday. Rastriya Prajatantra Party-Nepal and some fringe parties have already submitted the list on the given one-week deadline.
