YAN warns of seizing 'misused govt vehicles'
KATHMANDU, AUG 25 - The district chapter of CPN-UML youth front, Youth Association Nepal ( YAN ), has warned of seizing the government vehicles found being misused.
The UML youth front has concluded that the misuse of government vehicles and motorcycles—bearing white number plates—for private works is on the rise.
"We were forced to take the stern decision after increasing complaints that the government vehicles have been spotted frequently being misused during national holidays," said Dolakha district chairman of YAN , Maharaj Gurung, at a press meet on Sunday.
The YAN has informed the chief district officer about the decision to capture the government vehicles found being misused and hand them over to the administration. But the YAN will not take action against the vehicles possessing necessary documents to justify their operation for official purpose, YAN informed at the press meet.
Chief District Office Pralahad Pokharel said it is the duty of administration to curb the misuse of government vehicles and urged everyone to not try to take the law into their own hand.
