Indian envoy Prasad pays farewell visit to Regmi
KATHMANDU, AUG 23 - Outgoing Indian Ambassador Jayanta Prasad paid a farewell visit to Chairman of the Interim Council of Ministers Khil Raj Regmi in Kathmandu on Friday.
In a meeting that took place at Regmi's office in Singha Durbar today, Chairman Regmi congratulated Ambassador Prasad for his successful tenure as the Indian envoy .
Regmi also praised the Indian support on Nepal's social and economic development at different period of time over the years.
Saying that the incumbent government was striving for the successful conduction of the Constituent Assembly election slated for November 19, Regmi also appreciated the support shown by Indian on the regard.
In return, Ambassador Prasad expressed his optimism that the CA elections in Nepal will be a success.
Indian diplomat Ranjit Rae will replace Prasad as the Indian envoy in Nepal.
