Paras Khadka undecided on Canadian league
Paras Khadka has yet to make up his mind on playing in the Canadian League. Skipper Khadka’s participation will depend on the recovery of the ligament injury he is currently nursing.
According to Khadka, who had earlier thought his injury would heal by now, said: “I will make up my mind on what the doctors say after two weeks. This is taking longer than I had thought and I want to be cent percent fit before I leave for Canada.” Dr Chakra Raj Pandey has been treating him.
“If it takes longer, I will skip the league as I don’t want to take chances playing with an injured shoulder, which might trouble me in crucial matches later on.”
He had played with injured shoulder in the last two matches against Bermuda and Italy at the ICC World Cricket League Division 3 held at Bermuda.
Last season, Khadka had played professional cricket in Canada for three months from Ontario Cricket Club.
Two other players Gyanendra Malla and Basanta Regmi are waiting for their visas to play in the league. Malla will play from Ontario while Regmi will play from GTA Challengers Club.
Likewise, Pradeep Airee and Binod Bhandari will play in Sri Lanka in the U-23 Inter-club cricket. Rajesh Pulami and Naresh Budhayer are scheduled to train at Marylebone Cricket Club for six weeks.
