British College gets accreditation from UK University
KATHMANDU, JUL 05 - The British College, which has been providing higher education based on British curriculum in Nepal for the past two years, has received full validation from the University of the West of England (UWE), Bristol, UK .
A six-member delegation led by Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Paul Gough, awarded institutional validation to the college after visiting and observing various aspects including physical infrastructure, academics and management of the Thapathali-based college this week.
Amid a news conference organised by the college here today, Prof. Gough said that they are happy with the progress the college has made and added that they would make the collaboration stronger in the days ahead.
The UWE is in the top 10 list of the UK Universities
Chief Executive Officer of the College, Rajan Kandel, said that the college is now planning to expand its campuses to at least two other countries in Asia and opportunity would be provided to students to complete some parts of their study in the UK .
The college has now been running A Level B.Sc. (Hons) in Computing, BBA, BA (Hons) Business and Management, MBA (Executive), among others programmes.
The college has over 300 students.
