Limbuwan State Council warns to opt out from 33-party alliance
KATHMANDU, JUL 31 -
The Limbuwan State Council has seriously condemned recent statements given by the leaders of CPN-Maoist of collaborating with the former King and monarchs.
The LSC has also warned to opt out from the alliance of 33 political parties if the statements were their principle claim.
Issuing a press statement, LSC Chairman Kumar Lingden has said that despite opposing Constituent Assembly election , they can never think of collaborating with the former royals who were against republic in the country.
He said federalism, republic and religious tolerance were their bottom-line and that they would opt to stay out from the alliance if the CPN-Maoist stick to their claims.
Saying that the November poll was to be held favoring status quo and against federalism, Lingden said the party would launch agitation against the same.
Meanwhile, the LSC has announced to hoist black flags in nine eastern Limbuwan districts, padlock district VDCs, municipalities and election offices, among other programmes, against the Nov polls in the coming days.
