Time for formal talks with opposing parties over: Mahat

Nepali Congress Central Member Ram Sharan Mahat said the second Constituent Assembly election within the announced date was not possible if doubts over timely election were raised from within the four major political forces.
At a press meet organised by Nepal Press Union at the Nuwakot district headquarters Bidur, leader Mahat said all should have commitment to the election without any doubts to hold the election on time.
Now time for holding official talks with the political parties opposing the election including CPN –Maoist was over, he said, urging the major political parties not to waste time in the name of holding talks with any of the opposing parties.
Sitting for talks with the agitating parties again is to postpone the election , he added. As per the constitutional provision, only 35 places can be changed in the electoral constituency delineation, that's why it would be better to go with the previous constituencies instead of amending the constitution.
