Constituency delimitation commission's term extended
KATHMANDU, JUL 25 - The government has extended the term of Constituency Delimitation Commission formed to redraw the constituencies for second Constituent Assembly elections by 10 days.
A Cabinet meeting held on Thursday decided to extend the term of the commission on the recommendation of the commission. The government had formed the commission headed by former Chief Justice Tahir Ali Ansari on June 19.
The commission that began its work since June 25 is due to expire on Friday.
Geologist Netra Dhital, sociologist Dambar Chemjong and former administrator Madhu Niti Tiwari are the members of the commission and legal secretary at the Prime Minister's office Raju Man Singh Malla is the member secretary of the commission.
