CPN-Maoist 'positive' about govt letter for talks
The government on Wednesday sent another formal letter to the CPN-Maoist inviting them for talks , with the poll-opposing party this time terming the letter 'positive'.
Home Minister Madhav Prasad Ghimire sent a letter on behalf of the government to the agitating CPN-Maoist which have been opposing the election process and the preparations being made by the government to hold the Constituent Assembly election on November 19.
The government sent a letter to Mohan-Baidya led CPN-Maoist inviting them for unconditional talks after the party rejected the earlier plea of the government to sit for conditional talks .
"We have taken it positively, the letter sent by the government ," CPN-Maoist spokesperson Pampha Bhuisal," We will come up with a decision after holding consultations with 32 other parties."
Earlier, the High Level Political Committee had also dispatched a letter to the CPN-Maoist asking them to sit for talks .
Despite forming a five-member talks panel under the leadership of their Chairman Mohan Baidya, CPN-Maoist has repeatedly rejected the idea of dialogue with the government or the HLPC.
