Regmi orders stakeholders to complete road construction at earliest
Chairman of the Interim Election Council Khil Raj Regmi has ordered the concerned officials and stakeholders of the ongoing road expansion drive to immediately complete the task of construction.
In a meeting held with the stakeholders of the road expansion drive today, Chairman Regmi took stock of the progress made on the road construction and ordered the officials to complete the task in one month's time.
According to Krishna Hari Baskota, Secretary at the Prime Minister's Office, Chairman Regmi also warned of taking action against the officials if the task of road construction was not completed by August 31.
During the meeting, officials of the Road Department said the progress made on road construction was satisfactory and that the task would be completed by one month.
The road expansion drive was initiated by the erstwhile Baburam Bhattarai government last year. The drive,however, is yet to be completed.
