Won't take up ministerial post: Mahato
SARLAHI, JUL 21 - Chairman of Sadbhavana Party has announced that he will not take up a ministerial post citing the need for politics of sacrifice in Madhes.
Speaking at a press meet organised at his home district Sarlahi on Sunday, Former Minister Mahato said that Madhes-based parties got fragmented in the last five years due to the politics of power. He claimed that the people are looking for "politics of height".
He claimed that he was compelled to take up a minister's post by putting up with defamation in order save the party and give its due height. He made it clear that it was not necessary to become a minister in the current situation as the party is strong. The announcement by party chairman to desist from taking up the ministerial post has given the impetus for beginning the moral politics.
Though he announced to abstain from assuming ministerial post, leader Mahato hinted that he would not give up the chance to become the chief minister of provincial government or prime minister. "I've announced my decision to desist from becoming a minister in order to make the party big," said leader Mahato.
