Regmi urges all to play creative role for polls
KATHMANDU, JUL 17 - Chairman of the Interim Council of Ministers Khil Raj Regmi has urged all to remain positive about the Constituent Assembly (CA) polls and play a creative role for the same.
Addressing a function organised on the occasion of the 54th anniversary of Tribhuvan University ( TU ) in Kathmandu on Wednesday, Chairman Regmi, also the Chancellor of TU , pointed out the need of CA election for political stability in Nepal.
Regmi was of the opinion that contributions from the TU professors, teachers, students and the University employees was required for making November polls a success.
He stressed on the dissemination of quality education for social transformation.
Speaking at the programme, Education Minister Mahdav Prasad Poudel underscored the need to come up with new educational programmes that guarantee employment to the students upon completion of the degree.
TU Vice Chancellor Hira Bahadur Maharjan said that the University faces many challenges and possibilities and that the need of the hour was to convert the possibilities into reality, getting past the challenges.
Also during the occasion, tree plantation was carried out inside the University premises in Kirtipur.
