Dahal underscores need for single centre of leftist parties
Unified CPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Wednesday underscored the need for a single centre of the leftist parties , which he claimed, would help make Nepal more prosperous.
Speaking at a programme organised at the party headquarters in Koteshwor on Wednesday to welcome the new entrants to the party, Chairman Dahal said it was time to make concerted efforts for nationality, democracy and for finding solution to the problems of the public.
The former Prime Minister further said the reactionary forces had got space to become 'active' because the leftist progressive forces were divided.
UML leaders including Tanka Pokhrel and Ganesh BK made a formal entry to the UCPN (Maoist) during the programme today.
Moreover, the UCPN (M) boss claimed that the people will get first draft of the constitution within six months of the Constituent Assembly election.
He added that the parties would get involved in a serious deliberation before settling the dispute that has surfaced regarding the constituency delimitation.
The High Level Political Committee ( HLPC ) will address the demands of the CPN-Maoist and other poll-opposing parties to ensure the November polls, he said.
