Hospital building in Mahottari left in the lurch
MAHOTTARI, DEC 09 - A large hospital building in Jaleshwor, the district headquarters of Mahottari that cost more than Rs. 100 million has now been left unused .
The two-story hospital building has 90 rooms and various wards, but only the rooms of ground floor have been used, leaving the costly building useless.
The hospital was inaugurated by the then Health Minister Rajendra Mahato in January 2013, lack equipment although no dearth of doctors.
Although the hospital building is large with over 50 beds, it is like a 'refer' hospital for lack of equipment, said one Niraj Rokka.
The building was built at a cost of Rs. 101.8 million, but not used even after one year of inauguration. Hospital Chairman Dharmendra Raya said that if the lower floor rooms are full, the rooms in the upper floor can be used.
