Whereabouts of missing pilgrims still unknown


PARASI, JUL 02 -
Whereabouts of some nine persons of Gaindakot VDC, Nawalparasi, who went for pilgrimage to Badrikedar of India, is still unknown.

Now the relatives of those missing in the horrendous floods and landslides occurred in Uttarakhanda of India are in deep sorrow and grief. There are still a large number of Nepali pilgrims, whose status is still unknown.

Locals of Gaindakot including Kirtinath Chalise, his wife Jamuna Devi Chalise, son Harischandra Chalise, Netra Prasad Poudel, his wife Bishnu Poudel, Dev Narayan Chalise, his wife Hira Chalise, Harikala Upadhya and Iswora Lamsal had gone missing since last June 14, said the their family members.

Locals of Gaindakot have been urging the Nawalparasi district administration office and Ministry of Foreign Affairs to intensify search for the missing .

The government has engaged its efforts to rescue flood victims Nepali from Uttarakhanda, India while hundreds of pilgrims are still out of contact. RSS
