11 killed in Salyan bus plunge

KATHMANDU, JAN 01 -
Eleven persons were killed when a passenger bus skidded off the road and plunged into Sarada River at Banskada-5 in Salyan district on Wednesday morning.

The bus (Lu 1 Kha 8260), en route to Rukum from Kathmandu, plunged some 100 meters down in the river at around 5 this morning. Police said that visibility had decreased due to thick fog in the region early morning.

The identification of the deceased has not been established.

Seven persons are critically injured in the accident. The driver of the bus is on the run after the accident.
