ICC WC Qualifier: Nepal loses to Namibia by 4 runs
KATHMANDU, JAN 10 - Nepal has lost to Namibia by 4 runs in the ICC World Cup Qualifier warmup match held at Christchurch in New Zealand on Friday.
Nepal scored 227 runs in 50 overs losing nine wickets as they narrowly missed out by four runs. They were chasing 232 runs for win.
Batsman Binod Bhandari scored 65 runs in 60 balls, while Basanta Regmi made 39 runs.
Likewise, Sangar Pun and Sarad Vesawkar contributed 21 and 20 runs respectively.
Earlier, electing to bat first after winning the toss, Namibia had made 231 runs for the loss of 9 wickets.
Batsman Nicolaas Scholtz and Stephan Baard scored 79 and 73 runs respectively for Namibia.
