Anti-corruption campaigner to launch fast-unto-death in custody


KATHMANDU, JAN 16 -
Anti-corruption campaigner Sarada Bhusal Jha has announced to launch fast-unto-death in the custody itself.

Police had arrested Jha while staging 100 hours sit-in against corruption outside the Constituent Assembly hall on Thursday morning.

Talking to ekantipur, Jha said," I will launch fast-unto-death till i am in the custody."

She added, "Forceful actions are unacceptable for me."

Jha's team has been agitating against irregularities in the local bodies demanding investigation into corruption and action against guilty, among others.

Meanwhile, police have said that they held Jha for staging protest in a prohibited zone.
